Got to Animal Kingdom to see the opening show, a first for both of us! We headed away from most of the crowd and did the Kilimanjaro Safaris, small wait but growing fast!
Not as many animals out as our trip in 2006, but still enjoyable and bumpy.
We headed to
the other end of the park to get in line for Finding Nemo - The Musical. We
heard this fills up fast so we wanted to get to the show early; 10:15 for the
11:30 show. We were 15th and 16th on line. They moved the
line up twice before letting us in at 11:05. We got great seats, center stage
right next to the walkway that comes out from the stage, 5th row.
Some of the show was performed right next to us. We both raved about the Show!
Nemo - The Musical
Shopped on the way out then had lunch at the food court. Then rested in our room – this time mousekeeping left us a towel bunny on the faucet!
Had a wonderful dinner at Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion in Epcot. The restaurant rotates above the scenery for the Living with the Land ride below us. This was our third character dinner and we were visited by Chip & Dale, Pluto, and Mickey. The characters interacted with us nicely which lead to some great photos.
All the food was delicious and included Flank Steak with Mushroom Cabernet au Jus; Rotisserie Turkey with Cranberry Relish. The Fried Catfish and Homestyle Potato Casserole were outstanding. The Very Berry Puff Pastry (pictured below) was our 2nd best dessert of the trip. We were offered another piece and were very tempted, but we were too full and declined.
