We had
breakfast at Boatwrights – Port Orlean’s sit down restaurant. The selection
was limited but good. We prefer the Riverside Mills Food Court for breakfast. We
didn’t feel like putting up with the heat anymore, it will reach 97 with 80 %
humidity today, so we decided against visiting a park one last time. We did just
about everything we wanted to do.
We took the car to Downtown Disney for some last minute shopping. I picked up some Jessica Rabbit briefs. (She’s not bad- she’s just drawn that way.) The Lego store now has a vacationing family made out of legos. The snoring guy on the bench is gone. We looked into going to a movie but they started after one. We ended going to the airport a little early. It was so nice not to have to rush through everything. Since we did more shopping then expected we had to cram our suitcases. I was worried we would go over the 50lb max on the large suitcases and end up paying $50 each. But we squeaked by, one was 49 lbs and the other 51 but they let it slide.
We ate lunch there, McDonalds for her, Chinese for me. Advice: Don’t get Chinese food in Florida.
We get to the gate and see our plane already there. Weather is fine, we look good to go. 5 minutes before we start to board they announce that this may not be our plane! Huh? A previous flight to Chicago had mechanical trouble and the people were waiting over two hours. Airtrans ended up giving our plane to them and cancelling our flight (should have tried for an earlier flight).
They re-booked most of us through Atlanta with a short 24 minute layover. That ended up at only 10 minutes since the first leg was late. We literally walked off one plane, down the terminal and right onto the next. I didn’t think our luggage would make it – but it did. Unfortunately Kelli and I did not have seats together on this second leg, but she held up ok. Instead of getting in at 6:30 we got to Westchester County Airport at 9:15 PM.
Overall a fantastic honeymoon trip. We both gained about 4 lbs.
