Hawk Watch on the Lawn Monarch Butterfly Walk Live Hawks and Talk, see and learn about these birds of prey. Great Family Fun! |

Jim Eyring and
Lanner Falcon
Come out for some fun, sun (hopefully) and nature. Our main event will be Jim Eyring from Pace Environmental Center with his live hawks and owls at 1 PM. Flight demonstrations of his birds are scheduled, dependant on the weather.
Our hawk watch out on the lawn overlooking the Hudson River will be in full swing. Northerly winds will bring Sharp-shinned Hawks, Ospreys, Kestrels, Broad-winged hawks and maybe a Bald Eagle or two. We are keeping count of the number and types of hawks migrating through North Yonkers.
We will also have tours of our award winning butterfly garden and a Monarch Butterfly Walk. You can learn about their incredible journey to Mexico. We look for eggs, caterpillars, chrysalises and adult butterflies.
All events are free and open to the public. For more information e-mail or call Michael Bochnik at 914 237-9331.
