Cross River Reservoir, Maple Ave, Bedford
Take Interstate 684 to Cross River / Katonah, Route 35 exit. Turn east onto Route 35. Go one block to traffic light and turn right onto Route 22, Jay Street. Take first right onto Reservoir Road, a dirt road. At the dam the road becomes Maple Ave. Park here. The Dam has a large colony of Cliff Swallows and Maple Ave is great for spring and fall migrants. Simply walk the dirt road, being mindful of speeding traffic, especially during weekday mouring rush.
