Glazier Arboretum, New Castle

Glazier Arboretum is a 44-acre passive use property owned by the Town of New Castle and managed by the New Castle Conservation Board. It features marked trails and a variety of habitats: open meadow, red maple swamp, open marsh and mature deciduous woodlands.

To reach Glazier, take the Roaring Brook Road exit from the Saw Mill River Parkway EAST, uphill, passing the Reader's Digest Headquarters. At the "T" intersection of Roaring Brook Road and Bedford Road, Route 117, turn right, south. Go 0.3 - 0.4 miles and make the first left onto Whippoorwill Road, caution, you'll be making this left on a bend in the road. Continue on Whippoorwill Road pass Whippoorwill Park (on the left at 0.6 miles) to a small gravel parking lot at 1.2 miles.
