Hook Mt / Piermont Pier and Rockland Lake

A hike up to Hook Mountain in the fall or spring will bring you to a great hawk watch. Look for Broad-winged Hawks the third weekends in April and September. Falcate Orangetip butterflies are also found here. The areas of Piermont Pier and Rockland Lake are great places for migrants and wintering ducks.
