We are an all-volunteer chapter of the National Audubon Society. All our activities are free and open to all. To do what we do, we need your support - as a member or a volunteer. Email us.

membership

Chapter Membership You may join Hudson River Audubon Society as a chapter member - directly, as an alternate to National or in addition to your membership in the National Audubon Society (see below). By joining Hudson River Audubon Society directly, your entire chapter membership fee goes to support our local activities. Your local dollar is spent locally. To become a member, send a check for $30, to Hudson River Audubon Society, at P.O. Box 616, Yonkers, NY 10703 or send $30 through PayPal; in PayPal’s “write an optional note” state membership.

National Audubon Society Membership By joining the National Audubon Society directly ($30/yr), you receive a subscription to Audubon magazine, breaking news on birds, their habitats and advocacy efforts. You support a powerful voice for birds and the environment.
If you live in one of the Westchester County zip codes assigned to Hudson River Audubon Society you will be a member both of National Audubon and our chapter. If you live outside the zip codes assigned to us and wish to be both a National and chapter member for the same membership fee, request National that you be assigned to chapter R20.

Donate

We run on the energy of our volunteers; activities and programs still need to be funded, which is done through donations and fund-raising. Our fundraisers are the Annual Appeal in December and our Bird-A-Thon in May. Note that we appreciate donations any time you wish to make one. We are a non-profit 501(c) (3) corporation. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent of the law.

Send a check, made out to Hudson River Audubon Society, mail to P O Box 616, Yonkers NY 10703. You may also donate directly on line to Hudson River through PayPal.

Volunteer

Our Butterfly Garden always needs help. Gardening know-how is welcome but not necessary. You'll work with experienced gardeners. We have other volunteer opportunities. Contact info@hras.org for more information.
