We connect people to nature. We are a chapter of the National Audubon Society based in southwestern Westchester County, NY. We offer guided field trips; nature walks; feeder and hawk watches, educational programs. At Lenoir Nature Preserve, Yonkers, we have a Butterfly and Hummingbird Garden.
We are an all-volunteer organization. All our activities are free, thanks to volunteers and supporters. You can help us by donating via PayPal.
September happenings
Saturday, September 6 at 1 PM Beverly Smith Memorial Butterfly Walk, Lenoir Nature Preserve, 19 Dudley St., Yonkers. Meet in the Garden. We will take a leisurely walk there, searching for Monarchs and other Butterflies.
Sunday, September 7 at 9:30 AM Nature Walk at Lenoir Preserve. Come see how birds & plants are doing at the end of summer. Meet at the Nature Center. Email Debbi, walk leader, to let her know you are coming. More…
Saturday September 13 at 10 AM Bill Van Wart Memorial Hawk Watch. Meet in the field behind the Mansion at the Lenoir Nature Preserve. Use the south parking lot at 1109 North Broadway, Yonkers. It’s the start of our annual Hawk Watch. Bring binoculars and a lawn chair. Watches will continue until November. See schedule in Field Trips.
